Turbo or super for a multiport injection v6

Hello all, I’m new. I recently acquired an 85 firebird with the multiport injection V6, and I was wondering if there are any turbo or supercharger options for this engine. I’m not interested in any swap or major changes to the engine, just looking to see if there are any power options for it. I’m not desperate for power, so if there aren’t any options, I won’t be too upset.

You can build a turbo kit or find a way to mount a centrifugal supercharger for just about anything these days but the bigger question is, how do you plan on tuning it? Are you ready for that type of work? Tuners for this vintage car are a rarity. Diy is how most thirdgen owners go about it.

@aliceempire i don’t have any experience with power adders at this point, so I don’t know what all goes into it. I didn’t know if my engine came as a turbo option, whereas you could put that turbo setup on your non turbo engine. And can you offer any advice for the diy route? Any places to check for information or anything?

Honestly, old threads in this forum have the wealth of information. It's a lot to get into. If you haven't done tuning in the past on NA applications, tuning on boosted applications is a bigger uphill battle. Can you weld and fabricate? Those will be necessary. It's a real project to take on, if you really want to do it. Cheaper and easier project is to add nitrous. Even cheaper and easier is to just drive it as is, if you want to go faster buy a second car. I highly suggest checking through the v6 and power adders sections of this forum, that'll help you figure out if it's beyond your scope or something you want to learn.
