Well not sure on the pump as I took the cleaner approach and added a big walbro intank pump as Personally the idea of a boostrer pump spliced into the line and rattling around did not please me anyway.
As for the 3/8 NPT tap I had difficulty finding one as well...Finally WENT TO A PLUMBING SUPPLY place...They had them...The bigger issue will be the required punches to make the hole...Thats the PITA..If you buy as suggested by vortech a 3/4 drift punch you will see it will be about 20 inches long...And will hit your suspension and make life difficult....What I did was buy a 1/2 inch one then had to buy a 3/4 one as well...The half inch one cleared the suspension....Then I CUT the 3/4 inch one where it was 1/2 inch diametter so it was shorter....Still a big pita....If I had to do it over again Id Pull the pan and have a bung welded ot it...

Hey man,
If I had the motor out i'd weld a bung to it in a heartbeat, but I'm afraid of welding it while its in the car, on the lift, cuz if I blow a hole in the pan that would be.. bad..
As far as the pump goes, that is really strange stuff.. I might buy
a bigger pump downt he road to replace it all.
I've got it punched ok so far.. was using an impact chisel and a hole punch bit.. BUt year, THe damn control arms are in the way.
Thanks for the reply..
