LT-1 and Supercharger

I know that a lot of companies that sell engines and superchargers together usually offer engines with stronger, forged pistons. Can a stock F-Body LT-1 engine with 50,000 miles on it handle the added power and torque from supercharging?

I wouldn't expect it to live forever with FI and the hypercrap pistons.

Plan for a rebuild.

As long as you're running moderate boost levels, like those from kits designed to be direct bolt ons to stock engines, and there is no detonation, it will be fine. If you experience detonaton, cast or hyperuetecticts won't last long, forged won't live forever with detonation either, but will take it longer.
