What happens when a TC fails?
Is it possible to blow apart a TC?
I was considering a reman stock converter built to stall up a bit higher (2000-2500)
or perhaps a TC out of a lighter vehicle? say out of a 4.3L v6?
That would stall up higher behind a V8, and if it fails no big deal.
but if there is a chance it can blow up into chrapnel...

the 4.3 converter is good or go to your local cheapo part store and ask for a vette one (same year as your car) if it does not have the #7 stamped on the outside of it in a circle all the way around the converter, then dont buy it (7 was the higher factory stall cover) some parts stores have a one size fits all policy on converters.
