Im buying a turbo for $100 from my friend. He said that he knows a shop in town who can professionally install it and would total to be just about a grand for everything including plumbing and all tuning. We're thinking 8 pounds boost.

On my L03,what kinds of performance increase will I see? 13's? I'm pretty serious about all this. Is it worth doing? Will it kill my engine? What types of things should I keep in mind or know?

 

Do you have the name of this shop who will plumb and tune a turbo setup for $1000. If so, I'm renting a car trailer and I'll be there tomorrow. My mother lives in Largo, so I already have a place to stay.

Seriously, that's a VERY good price.

8#'s of boost is definitely worth it, but what condition is your engine currently in. Also, what is you current compression ratio, and what fuel/ignition system mods have you made or are you willing to make.

 

for labor we install and tune some supercharger kits for about $1000 and some turbo "kits" (TDC) for about twice that amount but a "one off" turbo system, plumbing, tuning, and fuel system could easily run 10 times that amount.

 

well you know what they say....sounds too good to be true, get a contract and take em to court when they screw you
