Superchargers

Hey

I have a 1985 IROC Z Camaro with a 305 TPI (LB9). how much HP with a Supercharger give me. I have around 220 right now. What kinda Supercharger would be best for my car. Will A Supercharger wreck my engine at all. What will happen if I add one. If I were to add a Turbo, which im not, will it sound like a rice ride.

I'm no expert, but here goes. If you want a supercharger I think you will have to convert from v-belts to a serpentine set up, thats what I just finished doing on my 86 Iroc because nobody that I know of makes them for a v-belt setup. I believe vortech or somebody used to, but I could be wrong. As far as how much power you will get, that depends on how much boost you will run, which on a stock engine probally won't be a ton but you will get a good gain. I personally like ATI Prochargers, thats what many people on this board have. And No you won't sound like rice but it will have a distinct blower/turbo sound.

A few things to consider are how many miles are on your engine? Is it stock? You will get a major gain from exhaust work if you run a supercharger. I'm sure some of the experts on here can help out a lot more.
