turbocharged lt1

Hey,

What has to be done to turbocharge an fuel injected lt1. I know there are kits but I want to know what has to be done to the fuel and computer system to run around 6-10 lbs of boost?

you will definately need an aftermarket fuel management system mapped for bar1, and the car ECU will need to be reprogramed to work with the FMC. you will also need bigger injectors to pump more fuel in and keep the air/fuel ratio at the correct levels. depending on the compression ratio of your engine (lower is usually better for high boost) you will have to run certain octane gas (higher compression needs higher octane). the hardest part right now is finding the turbo manifolds. .... just do a search for turbo sbc on this board, there is LOTS of info out there. good luck!!
