Anyone know what n2o Bottle temp = what PSI

I have a dash mounted guage and it always seems to stop at about 800psi. The bottle seems to get warmer. Very warm to the touch. Probably 80-85 degrees. Anyone know what each degree equals in bottle pressure (PSI)?

Thanks

Do you have a bottle heater? I just installed one and am very impressed. The pressure went up to 1000 today.

Yeah, I do have a bottle heater and it keeps the bottle very warm, but my guage is still only hiting about 700 psi. 94-6, How warm was your bottle @ 1000 psi?

The heater was still on and the thermostat turns it off at 85 degrees so I'd say it was less than 85. It kind of sounds like your bottle isn't all the way full or something. Do you have a gauge on the bottle itself? Maybe the dash mounted gauge isn't reading correctly.

That's the problem with the NOS brand bottle heaters, they are regulated by temperature, while the NX heaters are regulated by the bottles pressure..

Your poblem is a very common one with NOS heaters, weigh your bottle and find out how much N2O is in it, and I'd bet that it's pretty low.....
