Does anyone have information on the "Preaditor"?
Does anyone have information on the "Preaditor"?
I was going to buy this kit back in the late 80's/ early 90's, however I couldn't ever raise the money to do it. I used to have all the specs on it, Pictures, diagrams etc... When I went to buy it in 95 the company was no longer! Do any of you remember this kit? It was a twin or single Turbo kit depending on how you wanted it, was intercooled and I think the company was located in Washington? I am looking for a good picture of this kit! I did see some advertising for it in Hot Rod and some other magazines back in 88-90 if any of you might have some old mags, maybe you could find it for me. Thanks in advance!

Here's the article from the Sep 91 issue of Turbo Magazine. I remember wanting this kit so bad when it first came out. Too bad they're out business.
HTHs.

Thank you so much!! You are my hero. Do you know what happened to HTH?? I want to try to duplicate this kit sometime in the near future and am trying to gather as much info as I can find on it.

Yeah, this is the only magazine I've ever seen it in. I've always wondered if anyone could just copy the routing of the pipes, etc. The best part of it is you can retain your AC and under the hood it still looks stock.
I wonder though since the turbo sits low and kinda far away from the header if it's less efficient because of that. I always thought you'd want the turbo as close to the header as possible. But I guess it couldn't be too bad if it still runs 117 mph in the quarter with just the turbo and a cleanup job on the heads. Also, IIRC the Lingenfelter twin turbo Vette mounts its turbos kinda in the fenders away from the headers.
If you're gonna duplicate it, good luck! I'd like to see how it turns out.
