Other than packaging, is there any benefit to running two smaller intercoolers vs. one large intercooler, assuming the combined cfm capacity of the smaller one's are equal to the larger one.

Umm...

I think there might be alittle beenfit. I figure there is alot more room for the air to cool down. The extra hoses probably cools it down too.

Probably not. Usually two intercoolers are only used when their's not room for one good big one. If you look around most people don't use two if they could use one. I really don't think the extra tubing for the air is going to help either. When you're pusing that air through two tubes instead of one there's going to be more friction along the walls of the tubes. The friction's going to cause heat and slow down the air. With one big pipe there will be more air along the center and less along the edges than with two smaller pipes. Least thats what I figure, haven't had enough physics and thermo to really know.
