having a online vids section not to host vids but just to post links to online vids of peoples cars and such

we kinda have a video section, but it could use more links...

 

see that is cool but the prob is that it will use up alot of space if it ever gets big. what i was thinking of is some thing like what the hideout dose with a forum for just vid links and editing. so people can help others make vids of there cars and such. then if they can get some one to host them they can just post a link to the vid.

 

I could just see the abuses now, "Check out this 'car' vid (SNICKER)" and it ends up being a porno or featuring the models breasts instead of the car she's laying on. Too many abuses I think, it would also lend itself to general chat I imagine, so if you want to make it technically related you can always post the vid in whatever forum it applies to. If you have some footage of thirdgens drag racing or whatever you can use the organized drag forum, if it's at the track and you're showing off your run, or street racing forum. The only requirement is to be on topic, perhaps inquiring about a suspension setup on a car, or be featuring a thirdgen, or to end an argument ("Your mustang does not run 11s!" "Yes it does, see?") so sure post your vid, if it's on topic for the forum, but of course it's up to the mods to determine whether or not it fits, and don't post anything that might get you banned, as I spoke of earlier. I rambled off topic a bit but I think this should be applicable to most forums. Stay on topic with your vid and make it relate to your question/comment. No "Check out this car, man!" type posts.
