a catalog of the most requested

I do not mind seeing the same questions again and again, but if this site could create a gallery of the most requested rims, sub-frame connectors, hoods, exhaust, and so-on. when someone asked the regular question....who has these rims? or what does this exhaust looks like? or will this fit, the person gets shredded about using the search button.

Thanks

Kinda like a FAQ right? I don't think that would work. New members would continue to arrive and not even read the FAQ. They would want a fast answer and think the fastest way to get an answer is to post about it when they could spend 3 minutes looking for it and get plenty of info. Then when they post about it, they will get shredded. The only difference is people would tell them to "Read the FAQ" rather than "Try a search"

Now, if all new members would actually read it... then it would work

i help lots of people by just using the search button..

i dont mind people asking the same questions again, because they want to be re-assured they have the right answer..

good idea though.

I dont mind seeing the same questions being asked repeatedly. I hate seeing people post the stupid little 'try the search key' pictures, and not answer the question, though. Why go to the trouble to post a reply if you're not going to help, and just belittle the thread starter? Alot of times when someone asks a common question, its because they are new to the site, and havent seen it asked before. How do we know the person has ever used a message board before? How do we know if they have ever used the internet before? Usually, they just dont know to use the search button.

Ive been online three weeks now and figured out how to use this site mmy first time. I don't think we should discount new members for ignorance. Most of the time the only way to get people to talk is to post a new thread. I know its not right but you do get results.

hmm well that really is something u should suggest to the moderators or each forum. they have th epower to make stickies and its easier to let them and the people posting in that forum to put it together then to ask an admin to do it. just kinda like what the TPI guys and the PROM guys have. eliminates alot of questions.. good idea though..

I can add to this idea... if an FAQ page like that is made, force all new users to go to the FAQ page as soon as they finish signing up for new membership.
