Allow Racing videos on Street Racing Forum?

Just a thought....i know alot of people post links to street racing videos on the forum, and i love watching them. But..most of the time, the topic gets closed. I think you guys should let us post videos that we find online. As long as they aren't being streamed from tgo, what's the bandwidth problem? I don't know if this has been asked before, if so...sorry. Just something i would like to see more of. And i'm sure i'm not the only one who likes to watch these...

I would love to allow videos on there but if it isn't thirdgen related I can't, unfortunately. It's out of my hands as Dirk Himself has said that this is a thirdgen specific site so unless it's applicable to thirdgens street racing it's not allowed. I would be willing to be somewhat flexible on this, provided it's STREET racing and not track racing. There may be other factors involved that I am unaware of such as bandwidth leeching (referrals from this site might cause unwanted attention or something like that) I'll let iroc22 have his say on the matter but I'm ok with it provided it's thirdgen and street racing related.

If there is a video link being posted, it has to be thirdgen specific. When I open the video I have to see at least one thirdgen in the race that is being displayed on film. If not it is being locked. It's exactly the same principle as if it were a normal thread you see in the forum. Other street racing videos with different types of cars can be obtained from file sharing programs such as Kazaa etc. or searching the internet with a search engine. I'm sure when most people go searching for street racing videos they're not going to look on TGO and we don't want them to either that's why we're not encouraging it.
