So what is going on with TGO? First we can only attach 3 pics. Now we have to click on every single pic in a thread to see it. Seems to me like things are going downhill.
How many TGO shirts and other stuff do we have to buy in order to get things back the way they were? Why does TGO have shirts and sponsers if the site is not going to stay the same or improve?

Im not trying to sound too bitchy, just wondering whats going on.

The server load has been going thru the roof the past few days and I'm trying to get it to an acceptable level so the board still runs well. By making attachments clickable some of the load will drop since images aren't displayed automatically.

Searches by FAR are what's hitting the server the hardest. Instead of waiting 3 or 4 months for VBB3.2 to come out with full text search capabilities I will try a hack for VBB2 that brings this functionality in. No guarantees it's gonna work or run any better, but I have to try.

The server could use more ram. 1 gig isn't cutting it. To get the server maxed out on RAM and CPU is gonna run $1500 and I'm not sure it's worth it just to upgrade the server to the max the motherboard allows.

The next step I will have to do is seperate the web server and database server and put them on seperate machines. The web server will be directly attached to the internet and the DB server will talk directly to the web server on a 100 mbit connection. Seperating the load would be the ideal situation!

So, I'm working on getting things back to the way they were! Don't fear

Cool. I was going to ask if you guys were going to run dual servers but I didnt want to come across as trying to tell you guys what to do. Thanks for getting back so quick. I just wanted to vent frustrations and hear for sure what the future plans were.
Thanks again

Did it get changed back or something? Cause I can see pics just fine. Or does it only work on posts created from now on?
