Attachment help

I have been unable to add an attachment to any of my posts. I click 'Browse' and find the jpg on my computer and click open. It then shows the location of the jpg on my harddrive in the box before the 'Browse' button. When I submit or preview the topic/reply only the text appears. I don't even see a red X at all and I get no error messages. I have tried pics of various sizes but all well below the max allowed. Any help?

Danny
