LT1/LS1 Forum Addition

Because of the growing popularity of these two engine swaps, I'd like everybody to consider adding a section dedicated just to them. They run completely different systems than TBI or TPI and right now everyone is posting LS1/LT1 in Tech/General Engine (which really isn't geared that way) or TPI (which again is a completely different system) the result is that users have to wade through alot of LT1/LS1 questions to get their TPI and General questions answered and that users searching for LT1/LS1 information have to wade through TONS of other posts (from TPI programming to body wiring harnesses to LT1 intake conversions) that come up when they search. I think that creating a new LT1/LS1 section would be a good idea so that there's a solution before the problem gets any worse.

Opinions welcome, as always.

Once the engine is swapped, then it has no support. I think there needs to be a section so people can talk about optispark and obd1 and obd2 and other unique issues with these two engines.

if you need that info the best place would probably be ls1tech.com or camaroz28.com. They have some really good info on the LS1 and LT1. BTW, have you checked out the numerous threads explaining exactly what you should expect in the swaps on the engine swap board? There is plenty to learn. I don't think there needs to be a seperate board for it, after all the they really have little to do with a third gen, except for the 0.5% of third gen owners with them.

I've already got everything sorted. My point was that the .5% your talking about is growing fast and I thought it might be easier on everyone else to confine lt1/ls1 questions and answers to their own board because it's become almost as popular as swapping in a carb'd 350. My goal was to seperate things and make it easier on everybody, but i guess I'm the only one that views it as a problem, so nevermind.

No, because that's what Engine Swap and Tech/General Engine are for. They're not Third Gen engines.
