I'm an admin for a vbb board and recently upgraded to 3.0 from 2.3(what thirdgen.org is running) and found it amazing. I dont know if maybe yall didnt know a new version of vbb was out or not, but just a suggestion maybe upgrading, it can be done relatively easy and is well worth it.

TGO is aware of vBulletin 3.0, but I think they're holding out for vBulletin 3.2 where it is planned to make use of mysql's full-text searching, before taking a large site such as this offline to go through that upgrade. I suspect they may not want to go through two upgrades in a short time period, especially if they're not going to get mysql's full-text searching support in vB 3.0 anyway, which I believe is one of the bigger things they're wanting. BTW, I have admin experience of a vBulletin system for a good sized car club as well. But TGO is pretty big with lots of activity. How big is your board? I had seen some big boards have some problems with the conversion at first.
