i got this email in responce to a clasifed ad i put up in here a few days ago. something just doesnt seem right about it and i wantedto see if anyone here knew her or has dome buissness w/ this person befor. please help!
it just seems very jumbled any why would someone wnt to ship an engine 2 egypt?

Don't do it, it is a scam. They tried to get my friend to do that with his 86 Vette. I was selling it on autotrader.com for him. The guy offered to pay double and arrange shipping. But every time I asked him for a phone number and exact address, he would avoid the question and eventually stopped responding.

Agreed. Super big time scam. What will happen is that he will get back with you and say that he is sending you a check for more than the amount of the engine. He will then ask you to please send the extra money back to him. The check is fake and you send him XX dollars never to be seen again. Tell him Camels don't need LT1's.

I have only sold something to someone overseas once and it was to a gentlemen in England. I only trusted him after he had sent me 10 or so emails with basic car questions before he even wanted to by my stuff. Plus with paypal you can get around the scammers. These scams seem to be comming from Italy and many arabic regions.

ok this is no joke after i posted the reply i played some online games ate dinner and watched a lil boob tube its 12 so i was fixin to go to bed when i decided to check my email. there is another 1 almost the same as the first! from a different email addresse though but says just about the same thing!
