It's very convenient when the cursor is over the title of a thread, and first few sentences pop up automatically. If that could be applied to this site, I believe it would be much more efficient.

 

IIRC there was discussion of that when Dirk upgrades to the new BBS software. JT will probably chime in with a better response.

 

If that is implemented, please make it something we can disable on an individual basis.

 

That feature is found in vB 3.x. TGO had planned to upgrade to vB 3.x at some point. i don't know when. Because of this, there has been little improvements to the forum software as certain, customized, additions would be lost upon upgrading.

One of the Admins expressed their dislike for this feature and hoped to have the option per user. To my knowledge, vB 3.x still does not allow this feature to be set per user. It would either be globally on, or globally off until either vB rewrites the feature, or an Admin rewrites the feature themself if it hasn't been addressed when TGO does upgrade to vB 3.x

 

Not to say I told ya so or anything... but that was a helluva better response than mine.

 

Because I have a 56k, along with many other members, it saves a considerable amount of time. Instead of opening each thread to see if I'm further interested by the title, I can keep the mouse still for 1 second, and click or move on. That means less time, more knowledge, and more fun.
