hey wow nice!

so that means my 82 t/a LG4 and 200c could have or should have been a 3.23 axle car also!?

can you do me a favor please please

look on your body code plate under the hood and in the first line of stamped codes it starts with a single letter and then theres two numbers and a ltter together like 08E for example

can you get me it from your car ? im curious to see when yours was built

also is yours van nuys built ?

heres my first line from my body tag

C 08E 2FS87 2 567676

08E = 5th week of august

but it only got the 2.73 drum open axle

TGO info shows 2.73 to be std ratio for all the LG4 cars in 82 but shows nothing for optional

so im really confused and trying to learn what the deal is here, if it is correct

and if yours simply was special orered to be a 3.23 axle car

i appreciate anything

thanks

oh and another thing i see that that specifications sheet doesnt list 2.73 but someone wrote 2.73 below it for auto trans with LU5

either someones screwing around or 2.73 wasnt even in 82 at all

maybe my 82 isnt 2.73 after all
now i really wonder

but it is only a drum rear

is your car disc or drum rear ?

damn, complicated

thanks

My car is a drum rear. To me it appears 2.73 gears were only standard in on original Cali cars with the LU5. Which is what inspired my post to begin with. i hope this post helps to clear up some of the misinformation in the "tech data" section.
