Site nav bar

I haven't been on here in a while, but I can't find this on this forum.

It would be nice to have the navigation bar (the red bar "Home | User CP | FAQ ..." under the site header) consistent across the site. I was at the main page, and it doesn't exist at all, even though the placeholder is there. Yes I know you have the menu on the side, but having the nav bar there too gives one click access to the User CP, Garage, Member list, etc from every page of the site.

Also, could we have a "Home" and "Forum home"? I occasionally click "Home" thinking it would take me to the forum home as is the case on MOST boards. Yet one thing they lack once at the forum is to go back to the site's main page. Both could be handy.

Re: Site nav bar

I don't think we can put the VB bar on the main page, but even so I don't see the object of putting things that have to do with the boards on the main page when you have to click into them anyway.

The Home button is supposed to be the main page, if you want to go to the main page of the boards just click Third Generation F-Body Message Boards at the top in small font while browsing. On the Classic style, you can click the TGO Message Boards icon.

The nav bar can be added outside of the forum. Not a big issue. However, I also feel that it doesn't exactly belong there, regardless if the front page looks like it was designed to fit there. Besides, the visitors who visit the front page that aren't logged in or not registered would probably have no use for a nav bar.

I waited to see other feedback, and so far, looks like there hasn't been any. So I don't think we'll see a change.

I agree, not necessary.
