liturature forum

I think that a new liturature forum should be made. this forum should be about/ concern diffrent thirdgen repair guides and original car owner's manuals and other liturature like if a person has a question about a specific thing in a repair guide then other people can help them figure it out and things like that. just an idea. let me know what you think.

We can't publish owners manual or (most) repair manuals, due to copyright issues. If a user wants an owners manual, that would fall into the History/Restoration section. I've seen several users post in that section for such an item.

As to repair guides and procedures, I don't believe adding such a forum is necessary when it comes down to specific categories (Brakes, Transmission, TPI (fuel injection), General Tech, etc.) and those already have their own forums. If someone needs assistance, for example, replacing the brake pads, it would best be posted in our Brake forum where (hopefully) someone will outline the proper procedure for those who need such information. I believe splitting discussions into a such a literature forum would prevent the user from receiving the proper help from those with the knowledge that currently browse the specific forums.

I don't believe such a forum is really necessary or will really add usefulness. Instead, I think it can actually reduce the chances of the user receiving the help and information they need if they don't stick to the specific categories we already have.
