Hello JT,
I have been experiencing a severe problem with TGO for the past two days. I am sure it is TGO (although it could be my computer) because once the error window pops up I have a severe lack in computer control and TGO disappears. I could not copy the error so I typed it, hopefully you can help me solve this dilemma?

Here is the error message below.

“Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it at an unusual way.
Please contact the application’s support team for more information.”

 

It's your computer. IE is crashing for some reason. Not a good sign....

 

Not only his computer but it is also happening to mine as well. IE8

 

I've also been having the same problem.

 

Quit sucking up (using their products) to Micro Soft (does MS need Viagra? )......

Go with Mozilla Firefox for the web & Mozilla Thunderbird for email. Amazing how the newer versions of Microsoft stuff, is just not getting older features of Mozilla programs.

 

That error with IE8 is not uncommon and was often linked to add-ons with the browser (or Google toolbar). Disable all add-ons in IE8, and the Google toolbar if you're using it, then re-test.

 

LOL, back in the day when Bill was engaged to Melinda there was the joke going around that she divorced him shortly after they got married because she learned that "Microsoft" was more then just the company name.

 

Just gotta' get used to it,......... I get the crashing Visual C++ message at least once during every session I'm logged in. Most of the time I have to terminate the App - and that kills all the explorer windows that are open at the time. ( I don't use tabs ) Seems to be only occuring since a recent IE update to IE. ( Currently running version 8.0.6001.18702 )

I never get this IE crash on ANY website other than TGO.

 

I have not seen any since the last time I posted in this thread. I am using IE8 version 8.0.6001.18813

 

i have had 3 run time errors on this site - it was the only one i was on.
i clean and update my computer almost daily.
it it is running perfect and then i get here and there is a run time error.
then i shut down - and did not go on this site and an hour went by not one error.
then i came back here and within 5 mintues it was a run time error.

i love this site. it is the best therapy a cancer survivor can have but it appears you might have something causing it.

not that you are cauging it - MIGHT BE CAUSING IT.
