So can we please delete classified threads we started
It would be nice if I could delete my classifieds.
I actually like to clean up after myself so if I start a partout thread and 20 posts later it gets down to way less stuff I'd like to delete the thread and start a new one with what's left so people don't have to scroll through 20 replies and i don't get asked about something someone may think I have because another person quoted my whole for sale post when I did have it.
Second example
I have 3 verts.
Two months ago I had 2 verts, the one didn't have a formula hood or new interior etc etc when I listed it then.
Point is, things change quick.
This week I'd like to post all 3 for sale with the new look and next week with whatever I've fixed/changed a different thread.
3 cars x how often I change them either forces me to bump threads where when they started the car was in a totally different state then it is now and people get confused or I can just start a new FS thread every week which I am sure will get me told to quite spamming.
Again would love to clean up(read
ELETE) my old classified threads and keep my stuff current but you don't allow for it.
Then there's the 4 4thgen ls1 cars I've parted out. Yeah keeping that straight was fun.
Ya sure I have door panels, oh wait no not those door panels I have the gray ones. No wait not those gray ones, those are the z28 ones I had, I meant the gray TA ones I have now. Oh you didn't want those.

Re: So can we please delete classified threads we started
I'm sorry, but this is not an option.
For starters, having a record of a transaction on the Classifieds is good for all parties involved, as well as potential members who may purchase/sell with a party involved, by serving as a record should there be complaints or issues.
In addition, the iTrader system won't work if the thread is deleted. The iTrader is a tool for the members to use to help rate buyers and sellers and help limit potential issues and scams. It's already underutilized enough, and whens someone gets burned, they get upset.
You have the ability to edit posts indefinitely, and thread titles can be edited in a decent time frame (several days). Therefore, in your first example, you could simply edit your first post with the updated information.
Sorry, but this is not really a negotiable item as it protects those in the community by allowing records of transactions to exist and be reviewed by anyone. Unfortunately, if this were an option, I have no doubt in believing it would be abused and misused to deceive or hide bad transactions from the community.
