i understand why there is no lounge or off-topic section, and i'm okay with that. though i think it would be useful to have a General Automotive section/discussion. here people would be able to post upcoming trailers for car movies, GM news or other non-specific tech related questions.

here we would have the.. 'how many third gens have you had' 'whats your favorite year' 'craziest stuff you've seen done' etc.

it would de-clutter the fabrication, auto detailing and appearance and would cut down on the time searching through pages of things that aren't related.

again not an anything goes section for stuff like 'so i got some new pants' threads, just auto related.

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/prob...-non-tech.html

You're speaking about a non-tech ThirdGen section and that is most likely not in the cards (atleast at this time).

Even if it were strictly related to ThirdGens, that type of atmosphere is what we tend to avoid. It has caused issues in the past when we did have one. Even if that section were moderated well, it does not prevent the attitude and conflicts from spilling over into the technical sections and causing further damage. Unfortunately, not everyone can handle a "civil" discussion.
