Post count never changes-?
I seem to recall noticing this a few years ago when I was last around checking some things, but it is obvious now- my post count is stuck at "499"- but I have posted 4 or 5 things in the last couple days and it still sits at "499". At this point, my actual post count could be double or triple that. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

The post counter is not broken. Only certain forums count toward the post count.
The Way Back Machine took a snapsnot of your profile on 8/8/2014. Your post counter said 495 on that date (8/8/2014).

So we know that on 8/8/2014 your post count was 495 and on that date you hadn't visited since 2008.
You have made 5 new posts since that 2014 snapshot, with one of those posts in a forum not counting toward post count. So that equals 499, which you show.
To add, in the 15 years that I've worked with the software, not once has a report about a post counter not working has it actually been an error with the counter. It was either because the member was not recalling their post count correctly or they didn't factor in that not all sections contribute to the post count.
