Performance Board

Hey Dirk, I was wondering if we could see a Performance board set up. That way you can have all the Tech stock questions answered in the Tech board, and then Performance based questions answered in the Performance Tech Board.

The Tech section is kind of jumbled with both kinds of questions and i'm really not intrested in how to change a starter anymore!

Thanks tho great work we appreciate it,
Matt

i also think is a good idea, but im sure it would just lead to more post in the wrong place and ANOTHER board. but people should be more specific in their postings on the TPI\TBI and the tech general board. theres alot that could probably go under TPI\TBI that doesn't

I don't get this. The boards are already for performance and ALSO fixes.

Well, Yes, the Tech section is for both performance and common repairs. Thus i think it would be beneficial for the site to include a board just for people who have modified they're cars beyond the free mods that are so common these days. Let people trying to change a starter and want to know what to do since they're car won't shift after 1st have a repair board (me included). And let the performance people out there who are looking to optimize power post in a Performance related board. I think it would totally clear up the tech section of this site so that the posts don't fly down so quickly and people can actually see other responses to they're same question before asking it! Another way to look at it is a Novice Tech Board, and an Advanced Tech Board.

If only the board archives worked better we wouldn't need this sort of thing (or people actually used them).

Sincerely,
Matt

exactly, all on the same forum though. so it gets confusing. however i do have a feeling that more and more threads would be placed incorrectly, if people would stop overflowing the general board with stuff that belongs on other boards,

there is alot of things posted in the wrong forums already.. there are 6 engine forums..

Motor Swap - good idea, but is talked about ALOT in the v6 forum
Power Adder - good idea, again has lately been talked about ALOT in the v6 forum
TBI & TPI - ive never used these forums, so i donno..
Tech / General Engine - I do agree that there should be a Stock and Performance Forums. ie: Tech / General Engine & Tech / Performance Engine
v6 - isnt this already covered with Tech / General Engine?? even tho its the only engine forum i use.

is there any real official difference between the forums?? am i wrong to assume that EVERYTHING in the v6 forum SHOULD also be allowed in the General Engine forum? if the general engine was channged to v8 stock & v8 performance, it would, at least to me, clear up some of that problem.

Yes, u can ask questions about any displacement or any technical engine question on the Tech/ General Engine board. (or the Tech Board for those of us that have been here for a WHILE ) Any board that can have a performance type question on it is already allowed to have it and thats the way its been. They are for performance and fixes. I see what u are saying though, separate boards for fixes and separate boards for performance specifically.
