New Member Introduction Forum/Sub Forum

I am posting this here because "History / Originality" forum seems to be the de facto home for non-specific, non-technical discussion.
Some Admins and other members have been resistant to a General Discussion forum for valid reasons having to do with the purity of TGO...but, I mean...if we're doing "Like Buttons" now...whatever...
My thought was that a forum in which new members can introduce themselves and their cars is a good idea. I mean how many awkward posts have we seen in this forum, the Detailing and Appearance Forum, and wherever else that begin with, "I wasn't sure where to post this"?

The History/Originality section is not supposed to be used in that manner and sometimes people post incorrect content in that section. That section should be more about having documentation to help preserve information as to how cars came from the factory. Posting low mileage cars found online, as some do, help as a reference. Discussing what is and isn't correct is also fitting.

The Members Camaros and Members Firebirds section is where members should be posting their vehicle and an intro along with it, if they want, and is why I created that area years ago. "I wasn't sure where to post this" can speak to not taking the time to familiarize and read the forum descriptions just as much. On a somewhat regular basis I have to move posts out of this Help section for general vehicle questions because readers skip right past the Brakes, Transmissions, Electrical, TBI, TPI/General Tech, etc., sections and post their technical question in this area despite the forum descriptions.
