not able to delete post?

not able to delete post?

why can't we delete our own post? like when we accidently post in the wrong forum or say something really stupid in the topic that we wanna delete.. or if our post becomes a flame war and the moderators don't delete it soon enough themselves..

Because there's a good chance that good data will get deleted if we let people delete their own posts. If the person that starts a post deleted it, every post after it would be lost.

Hopefully there are enough moderators to deal with flame posts

Just tell the moderator to delete it or erase what you wrote and say "oops" its no big deal.
