Anyone use this throttle cable bracket with their Accel throttle body? Do you guys think it would work? Kinda looks like it might be a tight fit.

Well, Mike just emailed me with some pics and my TB looks quite a bit different than the one Accel has listed on their site, the IAC is different, throttle linkage, and I'm sure there is more.

From this angle I'm pretty sure the thottle cable bracket above will work. Might not be able to hook up the return spring exactally how they have it in the pic, and have to pull it off to pull the fuel rail, but other than that shouldn't have any issues.

Wow this thread is dead... Guess I killed it will all my questions...

Oh well one more to put it out of its misery, anyone using an Aeromotive 13105 Adjustable Fuel Pressure regulator?

Sorry, I'm not sure about that throttle cable braket. I have that style on my carb right now and it works great....not much help.

I'm going to be using the same regulator when I do swap to EFI, its a very good piece.

I see you went with the ACCEL manifold, any reason over like vic jr, efi vic jr, or super vic?
Do you plan on running the stock hood or cowl?

I decided the to us the Accel over the Edelbrock mainly because the manifold does not have a MAT sensor fitting provision, you have to drill a hole in the breather and install it that way. IMO, kinda crappy.

My motor is going in and S-10 with a cowl hood, so that doesn't really help you much there.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to use the Aeromotive AFPR, This article here they used it and seemed pretty happy with it.

Kurt04- The intake/ throttle body looks niiice (emphasis on niiice)! Like many others I'm sure, I wish that I had something to add to this thread- just no experience w/ it. I will say this, I've been following this thread from the start with great interest and would like to see how everything works out. I'm especially curious about adding the N20, I know it's been done w/ a plate and single plane efi just leaves me w/ questions.

I'm assuming you plan to add fuel for the n20 w/ the computer and injectors and account that into injector sizing right from the start? -or- would you run a seperate pump (at carb'd psi) and use the plate to spray fuel as well? I like this idea because it would be easy to add a small fuel cell full of 108 just for nitrous use, mixing with the 93 in the tank on track days. Would using the plate to supply fuel and nossss throw off the mixture by messing w/ the O2 or air flow readings to the computer somehow?

Thanks. Recently I have been looking into adding nitrous. I feel I have learned a good amount of info in the short time I have been researching it.

I notice your friend didn't use AN but steel fuel line instead. What kind of fuel line is that? What size is it?

I know this thread is old but it has some good info. I thought I would add some also. After trying many various intakes, I finally arrived at a single plane conversion through process of elimination. I have found that if you can find one of the remaining Procharger carb hats, they clear the hoods on the firebird very well and still allow decent flow. Here is a picture of some fab work on my GTA. This single plane is about an inch higher than a similar Holley intake conversion with bolt on TB.

On many of the other EFI intakes out there SR/MR/TPI Mod/Holley SR I had distribution issues, not bad but they were there, and sealing things up always seem to be a struggle especially if you like to tinker like myself. THe single palne made things easy to access and work on for me, and the only sealing I needed to worry about was bolting it to the heads.

I saw one of those intakes on ebay about a year ago. What is the port size on the runners?

2.10" x 1.10" According to my calipers. THere is plenty of material to port, but I just stuck them on as the ports lined up well as they were with my pro topline heads.
