383 questions

Hey i am getting a 350 block and was looking to drop it into my camaro but, before i do that i was either going to bore it out and get a 383 stroker kit to make it a 383 or just keep the 350 idea and just redo that. Anyone have any ideas wat i should do im looking for the cheapest but yet most performance i can get out of it.

I do not see a 383 in your future then. Start a new thread, dont hijack.

I agree with the thread hijack however I was was told a long time ago that if you want to go fast on the street, then " put the largest engine you can between the fenders" Quote David Rawnsely(?) Engine Tech instructor, Centennial College, Scarborough, Ontario, 1978.

Moved to its own thread.

There's no real answer to your question. HP/$, the rebuilt 350 is going to win. Best performance, 383 is going to win.
