SOme type of "Performance Carb" for the V6?
SOme type of "Performance Carb" for the V6?
I want to thank Maverick for his excellent information! Thank You!
And i wonder if there is a "Performance VaraJet Carb" i can by or my 1984 that lilkely will make a difference, maybe my carb IS plugged up. Some have suggested that "Its automatic" so its fine, but its either 2) Carb rebuild/adjustment (from someone that has before) or 2) A new one? Yeah they cost a little bit, Autozone is selling some Edelbrock carbs for $250 but they dont fit!
Does anyone know of a "Performance" or "Rebuilt" Carb i can get for the car that i can get someone that knows how to put on, arranging a price? Is there anything i need to know here?
It still runs like poop, but thats because of the AIR thing, which i now know what to do. Will check bolts and copper RTV.. thinking of "The Carb" now, then "Tune up" and timing check.
Also wanting to use thicker Oil for that "Valve stem seal" smoke, i got it to stop for exactly one night and two start-ups, no smoke at all...

Re: SOme type of "Performance Carb" for the V6?
Edelbrock makes an intake, it has a base & 2 tops. ! is for the stock carb. the other is for a holley 390cfm 4 barrel. You'll need to find a vacuum advance distibutor, I think it was from a 82 s-10 truck 2.8L.
I had that on my 84, along w/ their cam kit & 373 gears, really woke up the car. Doing that swap gets rid of alot of emissions crap.
