Just found this thread, here's mine (will eventually repaint it, in black as well)

 

heres mine in satin black for now

when we sprayed it with the first coat


driving it home the next night after 2 coats

and few days later ( yes i know the hood is tweaked its being replaced as are the rims i have a mismatched set on it cause i took the centerlines off to polish them)

I've always loved this color scheme on the '87's. Shot new on the lot at Nalley Northside Chevrolet Marietta, GA Sept. 1987.

 

Here's my '87. previous owner had it re-painted (pretty bad job, probably a maaco job) I made the decals myself at work.

Maybe rare now but not back in the day. Saw so many black with gold Z28's back then on lots

 

Not sure why you consider this a rare color combo for a Z. These black & gold Z28s were a dime a dozen back in the day. Most popular color, by far. They were everywhere.

 

Here's mine dressed in her new wheels and tires as of today. Went with an aggressive look!

She's in storage just waiting to be unleashed, that of course comes with a heck of a lot of money but yeah.

 

1989 5.7 with 18,000 original miles.

 

Here I am at a local burger joint / car show, this week the owner of the burger joint took pics of cars that wanted their pics taken, then they play on a loop inside all year. Kind of nice to watch when we have 24 inches of snow on the ground...

Wow, cool thread. Here is mine, from the Netherlands Europe;




All original car, euro-spec car as it was registered new in the Netherlands in 1987. Because of that the paint is a bit rough. Planning on a repaint next year to get it shining again like the other black cars here :-)

Thanks! Half of those cars are gone. The white '83 went to Germany several years ago, and the black CTS daily driver was an 18" wheel performance package with a stick. One of 199 V6 sticks made in '06.
