I just bought my second 2.8l Camaro, this one is a 1984 that I'm in the process of getting road worth again. Bought it for 200 bucks, however the finally cost was 188 because I found 12 bucks in the car when I cleaned it out. I've attached a picture.
I gave my 1989 Camaro RS 2.8l to be best friend, who just so happens to be helping me with this one, and we have a 1988 Camaro 2.8l that we are using as a parts car for my 84 and his 89.

Yeah it took some negotiating with both the seller and my wife to get the car .
Like I said, I owned an 89 which I loved, but that 2.8l in the 89 was sick and the car had a slew of problems which I never really got fixed, but my best friend/mentor did.
Every time I went to visit him, he would let me drive the Camaro, and it just got better, faster, and more fun every time I went to visit, so I've been wanting another one. I can't wait to get it up and running.
If we had a project thread, I would post a slew of photos we have taken of the car.

The 87 is no more, for those who haven't followed my build thread. It was crushed in late 13.
In 2012 I bought an 88 IROC-Z28.
Which is now the only one on this board with a 3.1 LHO/3100 L82 hybrid V6 with 11.4:1 CR, roughly 225/235, 5-speed. Not running at current due to numerous issues (wiring, mostly), but has had 1500 miles put on it since 2013 when it was put on the road.
Yes, I know it needs paint. I still have yet to determine if I'm going to Firemaro the thing or not since I'd rather not toss out the 91-92 Bird parts I paid $500 for and haven't been able to sell for 2 solid years now.
I have a V6 and a V8 firebird.
The 88 is a 2.8, homemade CAI, and Pacesetter headers, empty cat(when I bought it).
Needs new intermediate pipe and brake lines- 29x,xxx miles.
had no idea anyone was out there trying to check on us v-6 lovers. If anyone is still there, I got my 86 bird in 2003 with 97,000mi. Without getting into its biography and repair details, I started with 18-20mpg. After a timing chain & gears, new distributor, and now I'm running E3 spark plugs and full synthetic oil and getting 23-25mpg (new from factory rated at 25mpg!). Yeah I love my daily driver.
The pic was taken in Cáceres, a city 'near' of Madrid.
My car was an original V6 with original bumpers, but I cross my country for buy these bumpers and side skirts. I make in the same day about 870 milles to get it.
My V6 from Spain
Now, is black matte and grey, next week will paint on the garage, with the same colours .
I have other wheels, get from BMW Borbet A type, red painted, and when get some money, will put new wheels and mount it.
This is my 4 Pontiac, there is so difficult to find one unit with good engine and gearbox.
i was a v6 guy, this was my 1988 camaro sc......i would love to have this car back but the fella that i sold it to years and years ago wanted to swap a 350 into it, so shes probably not a v6 anyway if shes still out there.
Well seeing all your cars i one piece has made me feel so inadequate!
Hi from across the pond. I have an '85 Firebird S/E 2.8 V6 manual which i bought for next to nothing and it turned out to be a horror story of rust, so I bought a 1984 S/E rolling shell and am fully restoring it. Everything is new, I must be nuts. Anyway here is a pic of what I bought and the build thread is here and here, please feel free to check them out
Hope you enjoy the story

1985 2.8 TPI V6, Bored .60, big Cam & a t5 tranny. Only 300 miles after full rebuild in 2008. Car is currently in pieces for full interior and audio build. I LOVE my 2.8 that easily runs with the 305's.!!
