Hello all! New here but I have owned a few third gen cars. I hope I am posting this in the right spot.
Anyways I found a third gen, 85 TA but I am wondering on a few things. Looking up the car some things don't match up. I am hoping you guys can give me better answers. It looks to have the wrong engine. Some one else says it is a clone and that it may have had a vin swap. I am all tore up over it and have been looking everything I can find on the car. The tag is toast the play is there. Also the windshield has a ven eched into it. Any other way for me to tell this is what it should be and not a hot car with a v

in swap?

 

Correct Tuned Port Engine by the vin. Appearance wise everything looks like a trans Am to me.

 

Might want to keep looking...Carfax shows it as a stolen recovery from CA in 1989.

 

Anything of interest in the Carfax? I have yet to see the title so I do not know if it is a salvage or not.

 

Looks pretty stock to me. What does the radiator tag says ? There's the last six digits of the VIN on it.
What does the SPId says (sticker under the center console lid) ?

 

Well. I picked it up. He wanted 1200 for it. I got it for 823.

 

$823...can't beat that! Interesting color combo...don't see that too often.

 

Definitely worth that in parts alone. Good deal.
