I know there's a few guys here that are into the yellow cars, right? On Philadelphia Craigslist there's currently 2 if anyone is looking. One nice 60k car, and one cheap project. Both 87's. Just trying to do my part to bring these cars and worthy owners together
I bought the Yellow 87 with 5.7 that was in Reading. Its here with me now in CA. Rougher than what we are used to here in CA but a super rare car. Absolutely loaded car with Bose too. Ive finally got my Yellow IROC!!

The one with the dented fender? I was eyeing that thing up for the wife. Would have looked good in the garage next to her yellow Avalanche! That car was a good deal. Nice to know it will be living out it's life in sunny California where you can take the tops out all year Only problem for me is I got her hopes up when I showed it to her. Now I gotta find another one sometime, lol!

Yep. I bought the one with the dented drivers side fender. It's going to need an entire restoration to bring it up to my standard. But it's a crazy rare car. Yellow IROC 5.7 was available in 87 only. All other years were 5.0 or not IROC. Only 12,105 cars in 87 were 5.7 and only 2.2% of all 87's were yellow. In theory that means that as little as 266 cars were Yellow and 5.7. I do suspect the actual number was higher because there are some colors that didn't seem to ever be built as an IROC. In any case I think its safe to assume that there was probably less than 400 yellow 87 IROCs with a 5.7. I'd be interested to know if anybody as real concrete numbers on this.
I'm a life long die hard Steelers fan. I've got a black 87 IROC convertible that I totally restored. A yellow one is going to look pretty impressive next to it.
