$100,000 1LE for Sale?
I didn't know they came with ac and fog lights. This guy says they did. This is for sale in CA on Craigslist. Looks like a nice car not sure if it's worth $100,000.

I've seen pictures of this one at local car shows I go to, but I've never run into it in person.
I thought this was a typo, but if you go to the listed website, it's also listed at $100,000.

looks like a repainted 1990 iroc .. dude should show a little proof that its a 1le iroc , not just a license plate that says it .. no interior pics,no motor pics and no mileage shown .. he'd be lucky to get 10 grand for that thing ..

I agree on the 10 grand maybe. Some people think the G92 code automatically think they have a 1LE car!

Re: $100,000 1LE for Sale?
Has any third gen ever cracked $100,000.00 in the history of third gen sales? I could see it maybe 40 years from now if we're still allowed to have cars, but currently, there are far better investments if you can spend $100,000.00 on a car. There's a reason Wayne Carini isn't chasing third gens. I can't even think of a rare third gen that would be worth that kind of coin, well except for my 82. Every time I get the "what would it take to buy this car right now?" I tell them $100,000 because I don't want to sell it. Works every time and I've used that line for years.

I believe the 91 Firehawk #3 car sold for over 6 figures at one point in the the past - but sold well below that this time around. Even the prototype Camaro with the ZR1 motor in it was half that.

Don't need some "GM representative" and some "certificate of authenticity",..... It's REAL EASY to prove it's a 1LE; Post a pic of the RPO sheet and show the "1LE" code and the "C60" Air Conditioning code in the same pic. I'd sure would like to see a factory 1LE RPO sheet with factory AC on it.
The special package was known in Chevrolet Engineering as 1LE, but it was not an offered as an official ordered RPO feature.
Edit:

Re: $100,000 1LE for Sale?
Here's a craigslist for it.
https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sf...081915822.html
Looks like it might be a great car. But if you're going to ask $100k for it, it'll be picked apart and this one is easy to pick apart. It looks like it had a flipper restoration done to it. I think somewhere in the 7-12k range might make more sense. I didn't see mileage listed anywhere, and there are a lot of little things that need correcting. Turn signals, headlight buckets, louvers, taillights look cloudy, lug holes in wheels look rusty, ground effects need paint... common third gen things, not common $100k car things.
Also, having been to many of the cars and coffees at this museum, this really surprised me (I almost don't believe it!). I went to the November and February one, missed December and January, but they hand out three trophies and I've never seen them pick a less than immaculate car (stock or modified) unless it's some historic patina or a correct look (a race car with rock chips and rubber on it, for example):

Re: $100,000 1LE for Sale?
Bought four boxes of tpi parts from a guy, took what I needed, ended up making 2 full setups and a partial to sell. Guy shows up to look at them and tries to buy my car. "What will it take?" I told him $68,069.80. "It's not worth that!" Is to me. "Why $68,069.80?" It's what the version of this car is going to cost me to buy today. This was the top of the line camaro in 1987 and the ZL1 is the top of the line today. The price with tax, title, and license is $68,069.80 where I live.
He didn't know what to say. My dad almost lost it and had to "go get more coffee" to keep from laughing.

The 1LE Special Performance Components Package was triggered when the G92 Performance Axle option was ordered, G80 Limited/slip 3.42 rear and the C60 air conditioning option was not ordered.

No longer listed on americanacars.com website,... as available OR sold; and no-where to be found in the LA Craigslist adds.
Wonder where this car ended up ?

John in RI:
I was being sarcastic. You know how people get when they think they know what they have and you cant convince them otherwise, even when presented with facts?
I keep forgetting that there isn't a sarcasm button next to the Bold, Italic, Underline icons at the top...
Ill keep those types of posts on a tighter leash from now on.
