ALERT 1982 TRANS AM 14K MILES

Heres another one.

Since i have specialized in the 82-84 cars for past 15 years, I say his price is WACK

But those "SCHWEET" Eagle GT II's did impress me

No Bowling Ball caps( NICE GM caps are getting VERY VERY VERY hard to find)

Cracked Dash

Hardtop

What do you guys think ??

I think he is a bit optimistic with the price. It is in nice shape though.

It's funny the details people will skip on when it is clear they would like to receive a seller's price.

Re: ALERT 1982 TRANS AM 14K MILES

There are two other 82 hardtops with low miles I have seen lately, both also have the 15" turbo rims minus the caps, and both are also not t-tops. There is also another black and gold 82 listed here in the cars for sale section,in near mint condition with the 15" turbo rims,I think the owner said it has its caps too,but again,it's not a t-top and he's asking a similarly high price and it hasn't sold.
If the black and gold car was a t-top I would have made a serious offer. To me these cars aren't complete without t-tops.

Yeah, with a little bit of effort this car would warrant the asking price. All the ingredients are there, just needs the finishing touches. Replacing the dash pad may be tough on an 82-84 car, though.

"Tough" is an understatement!

It may be due to my preference for silver. But I agree.

Were I selling, I'd make the wheels brighter, put a later dahshpad in, and use better pictures. Maybe paint correction.

I have had a lot of t-top time, and a hardtop is something I have been shopping for. But, 82s do little for me.

Re: ALERT 1982 TRANS AM 14K MILES

Finding a nice '82-84 dash is NOT hard, Last year I found 2 NICE 82-84 2 line pads for "Peanuts" lol You just gotta know were to look

On the other hand, Finding NICE damage free factory 15" Aero (Bowling Ball) caps are a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT story !!!

Re: ALERT 1982 TRANS AM 14K MILES

I don't think the price is that bad considering a premium for the mileage. A buyer can replace a dash pad just as easily as a seller. I have larger issues with the fact it's an 82 Firebird. Something about the early dash and console really strikes me as blocky. Never been a fan of the carpeted interior panels either. It would probably present a lot better if it were detailed, a few issues addressed, and considerably better photography, but the photos in the listing just bored the crap out of me.

I still DROOL over that 7K mile car Chris !! It's a TRUE SURVIVOR and fine example of a 100% original 1982 Trans Am !!

Well worth the price you paid !!!
