Factory smoked lamp, tail and stop RPO T93

For 1989 does anyone know if all IROCs came with this or was this a true "option".

The car I bought recently has this option and the lenses are quite dark. I want to know if I have a true option here or if the owner simply smoked them down more.

I am not a fan of the smoked look and despite my desire to keep the car original, recently put in a set of "standard" original lenses. I am selling the smoked stuff.

Thanks Bob. I saw that thread. I did not draw any conclusions. It seems that the T93 description changed over time.

Perhaps another way to determine my question is do all IROCs have T93?

I can tell you this Tootie....I looked at A LOT of IROCs brand new on the lot from 85 on....and I personally never seen the smoked tail lamps....Just the plain and the Grid style.

I have never seen that factory. I did my taillights years ago, from the inside, they look like it could be factory. They do look amazing if I do say so. But I bought a used set totally stock years ago, and last summer threw those on. Last thing I want in this day and age is to get rear ended and when they start looking and such notice the "dark" taillights. No thanks. I like the look, just not the potential future headache.

I too looked at a lot if IROCs when I was looking for mine. This was in 1989. I never saw one that had smoked tailights, grid or "standard".

FWIW, my IROC has RPO T93; unsmoked, grid tail lights.

This is a screen shot of a spreadsheet I found online that I would just add to over the years when I would stumble onto unknown RPO's. I don't know how far back the original list goes.

I've attached the complete spreadsheet. Keep in mind that some RPO's may have been re-assigned over the years.
