Can someone please advise if they know what the following items/ relays are or function as ? Under dash of 87 trans am , cheers

25071437 BUFF ASM

Not Sure What It Buffers,Maybe Another Member May Know.

 

gt4373 is right about rear defogger relay,the Yellow Buffer is a vehicle speed sensor.is there a P/N on the white relay?

 

Thankyou for the above replies , the yellow as mentioned , vehicle speed sensor , does it provide info to ecm , or to speedometer . The white one , maybe a headlight relay , would that be poss ? , cheers Luke , from down under

 

I'm almost certain the ECM is involved with the speed sensor. The headlight relays are under the hood.That relay could be the hatch release,Horn relay,Rear defroster timer relay,does it have a P/N on it?

Rear defroster relay. VSS Buffer. Power antenna relay. In that order.
