Im wonderin how these collectors dump on the super comps? Ive scowered the board for pics and only found a few. I currently have stainless works long tubes. They dump far back tight against the trans probably close to the linkage and tight against the rail and floor pan. On standard sbc ex ports in stock location these work fine. I have poly mounts which are about the same height as stock because I have a stock brand new factory set of rubber ones. Whats throwing me off is that the AFR 235s Im running the ex port is .375 higher that stock. Now my exp headers wont fit, they hit the floor pan. Ive heard the super comps sit low so that would be prob beneficial to my situation. Any comments or pics would be nice. Thanks
I think its your car I saw alot of pictures from. From what Ive seen it looks like the collectors dont go back as far as the SW ones. Mine are really tight against the trans area. Almost to the linkage. My issue is the AFR 235. The exhaust port is .375 higher than stock. I had about a 1/4 inch or so clearence to the pan. Now it doesnt bolt up on the pass side as the collector hits the floor pan. If you have newer pics of where the collectors dump Id appreciate that. I habe seen your setup and its something I want to do.

Sure it was my car? I don't have many pictures of my exhaust from under the car. I was pretty forgetful about it.
I am about to raise my car to fix a leak. You want a measurement from the floor pan to the Hooker exit flange? I am running AFR 210 on my 421 on poly mounts.
besides the floor pan, how do they fit every where else
I had to relocate the brake line going from the master cylinder to the passenger front. It was rubbing against the header.
I was less worried about an exhaust leak, or the finish. And more worried about boiled brake fluid or worse, the rubbing creating a hole in the brake line.
If you have a lowered car and are not careful it is common to scrape the collector. I scraped a set once and lots of them that are put on street cars that pop up in the for sale area have road rash. Concerning the car, they have great clearance all around as they fit any engine and transmission combo. Concerning the ground, they are about the worst set to use if your lowered and drive on the street.
On the SW ones with regular location heads and rubber gm mounts they fit like a glove even with the factory k member I had previously. Because the 235s are .375 higher and the poly mounts one side doesnt fit and the other is close. I wanted to do solid but it going to be street driven and want some civility if you can call it that. If you could take a some pics underneath on your 421 I would appreciate that. Thanks

I had a 383 with a mid 230s duration cam and just under 11:1 compression with standard rubber mounts and then switched to solid mounts. There was no big difference that some people like to allude to. My idle was slightly more noticeable but it's nothing harsh. Once the car is moving it becomes harder to notice.
