I have no clue...

My car has been doing this a lot recently where it will not start, i have to turn the key three time in order to get it to get it running. It has been i get it to start in the morning i back out of my drive way put it in drive push the gas and it feels hesitant not real smooth and i added some fuel cleaner thinking that would help and it did for that day idling beautifully i woke up the next day hoping that is was all okay.... it took three turns of the key to crank it again, and just today i started my car waited a minute and revved it and something happened she was quieter shook when i started moving she drove like crap after a few minutes later and she was back to normal.

I dont know what could be the problem i know its fuel related but i dont know where the problem would be

Any help would be appreciated

Re: I have no clue...

If your injectors are grey body multecs I'd start there. The coils are problematic especially when warm.

Re: I have no clue...

Those Multecs can be problematic, but begin with basic diagnosis. Test standing and running fuel pressure. Verify good electrical connections. Perform an injector power balance test. Then replace the injectors if the diagnosis indicates a problem.

Re: I have no clue...

you might want to start with tuneup items cap, rotor wires, plugs and check your fuel pressure. Ohm injectors when warm and pull the line to the for to make sure there's no evidence of fuel in the line.

Re: I have no clue...

Can you take some video of the issue and post to youtube?
Also before you start it in the morning - spray carb cleaner or brake clean in each cyl, then try and start. It probably wont stay started but if you at least hear ignition then that may eliminate an immediate ignition issue.

Sure i can get a video, i did think about it before i left tonight but i didn't have time to but when i was driving tonight someone who was at a stop sign pulled off and went into my lane cutting me off and causing me to go on the curb to avoid him but we are both fine no cuts or scrapes

But yeah tomorrow i can get a video on here

Re: I have no clue...

In the morning, hook up your fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail, turn the key see if you get about 40 psi. Keep the key on and take note how long it takes before the pressure begins to bleed down and how fast.
Start it up like you did in your video and get it warmed up. While running take note of the fuel pressure. If it holds steady, bounces, etc.
Once warmed up, kill it, disconnect fuel gauge, and do an ohm test on each injector.
Also, once cooled down, some but not totally cold, so that you down burn yourself, do a compression check on each cyl. Write down the values for each cyl, post here.
It also just occurred to me that a sticky EGR valve can cause something like this. My old 91 acted like similar to this 15 years ago, and the valve didnt open and close as smoothly as a normal one. I'm not exactly sure how, but it would stick open, and with the proper amount of acceleration to open it up just a little more, or on de acceleration with the right bump in the road it would shut closed.

Re: I have no clue...

Okay I will try checking fuel presure and i dont know about the compression test I will try a tune up and try and clean the egr when I have time. Off topic but I have been thinking should I just build my engine up to my plans or just get a another 350 and build it up?
