Re: halo headlights

I'm still sitting stock. How are your results for pure brightness over stock?

This question is for all that have changed their headlights. Silverstar, Halo, pilot, whatever.

In the pics there is one light on the original circuit and the brighter one is through the relay circuit I made. It only cost about $30 to build.
I read a thread that discussed upgrading the headlight wiring harness and adding relays, is this what you did? I can't seem to find the thread today, do you have a link?
Thanks for the pictures showing the results, I'll be doing this very soon...

**EDIT**
Found the thread, actually it's a tech article. I wonder why they don't come up in 'searches'.
For anyone else interested, here's a link:

Correct, along with the adjusting screws which you can slide out of the slots they fit in (one on top and one on the side). The springs maintain pressure on the adjusting screws IIRC (it's been a while), so sliding the screws out of their slots should free the baskets.

Re: halo headlights

so i got the HIDs installed awhile ago, and they completly fried my headlight system, ive had trouble with them ever sense, so i kept the projection headlights and bought some 8K Xenon Platinum Headlights, threw those in, and only one headlight would turn on... So I just replaced the Headlight switch, and i got both low beams to fire up, but when i flick over to brights, the low beams get almost no power and the highs get all the power, so ill just be running low beams all the time... stay away from HIDs so you dont have the problems i did and still have

Re: halo headlights

My set came with blue bulbs no condoms. They aren't the brightest bulbs but they're OK.
I will get HID bulbs and ballasts someday but will keep Lens and the turn signals look awesome. IMO

Are these the lights your talking about. They're the ones I bought. I haven't hooked up the halo bulbs yet. I'm going have them come with the key so they will be daylight running lights. They still will be on at night also.\

You wouldn't have that issue if you built a relay harness, the factory wiring is a joke to begin with I built my harness out of 10 gauge wire with two relays as outlined in the tech article, I did this on a friends car using the eBay housings and ddmtuning hid kit, hasn't had a single issue

I had a problem with one headlight going out and all it was was a ballast malfunctioning. but you should have done the xenon projector with the solenoid that opens up the whole lens instead of half with the cutoff line. But if you didn't make a proper relay and redo the grounds for your lights you had it coming to have some issues.

Re: halo headlights

First picture is what I have when I turn on my actual headlights on. The blue LED's are kind of lost at this point. The picture is a before and after, old stock headlights and these. They are 10x brighter than my old stock ones. Love them!

The lights in picture 2 are my parking lights! They are 4x6 Halo's with 10 blue LED's around them, bright bright bright blue.
