This thread is for January 2018 COTM **Nominations** PLEASE READ AND UNDERSTAND THE COTM NOMINATION RULES BEFORE PROCEEDING TO NOMINATE A MEMBER’S RIDE FOR COTM.
REMEMBER, WE MUST PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF THE CONTEST SO THAT THE MOST DESERVING MEMBER WINS.
This thread is a Nomination Thread to nominate cars that will compete for this month's Car of the Month honor. The 12 (or less) most popularly nominated cars will be compiled into a *Voting Thread* in a couple of weeks. If you do not nominate a member's car for COTM, you can still second or third (fourth, fifth, so on) someone else's nomination. Cars must have at least a second nomination in order to make the Voting Thread.
Do not nominate your own car. Your car must be nominated by another TGO Member.
Do not ask your wife, husband, friends, extended family, etc. to register as TGO Members for the purpose of nominating your car.
Do not nominate more than one car.
Do not use multiple member accounts to nominate your own car or to nominate multiple cars.
This is not a picture thread. Post only one (1) good photo of the car you wish to nominate. Do not use unrealistic, overly-processed images.
You must post a picture with your nomination. This must be a full-sized picture (or at the very least, a pic or thumb that enlarges into a full-sized picture when you click on it).
Correctly identify the user name of the member who you nominate.
Correctly identify the year and model/trim of the car you nominate.
Do not nominate cars that are not in a high quality, finished state.
And if you are nominated, please DO go out and take an abundance of good quality photos of your ride (multiple angles, interior, engine) and make them publicly accessible (for example via a photo album in your public profile or some sort of hyperlink to your photo album.)
*****Editor's Note***** I concur with the sentiment expressed by some, that the "Open Season" nomination format has yielded the desired mix of stock / modified / stock-appearing / customized cars. The "Open Season" format also maximizes our ability to nominate new rides. So, barring a perceived need or just a plain, really good idea being presented, I see no need to revert to the "Specified Format" at this time.
*****This Month's Criteria*****
OPEN SEASON
Any very high quality, finished, stock or modified 1982-92 Camaro or Firebird.
Sorry, but that pic won’t work for COTM purposes. A Firebird with non-functioning hideaway headlights does not represent a high quality, finished state of affairs. I’m not saying that the car is not in a high quality, finished state, but there has to be a picture without the headlights stuck open.
I'll reserve the right to not vote for it after I really get to look it over, but from THAT picture posted, WOW! LOVE the color, both exterior and interior, and it appears to be a really well done, tasteful, uncommon looking Camaro.
I hope it's as good as I'm picturing it in my head!

Yeah, I nominated him a couple of years ago. There was some reason he was disqualified and I can't remember it.
I will stick to the theme that seems to be going on this month with convertables. I would like to nominate 88IROCvertZ beautiful 1988 IROC convertible for this months COTM.
Come on, people, let's not go back to these old habits again. That guy just got done with the second chance voting for December car the month. Mix it up and find somebody else for a little while.

I agree. Great car actually one of my favorite but lets continue on seeing some cars that maybe haven't been nominated before or atleast ones we don't see on a regular basis .. Lots of great cars on this website Sucked being in with a whole lineup of other very nice first time nominated cars I think in July last year and seeing a car that had actually already won one car of the month and had been nominated numerous times win yet again.
I'd love to win it one day and put it on my cruise/show display.. Would be a proud moment! But the old 88 could use a rest.. ha ha.. I'm working on making every inch of the car showroom mint so if you guys want to check back in the warmer weather that'd be cool
I definitely think chazman needed another go with the 89 and that gunmetal GTA is pretty sweet.. I haven't seen a car on here I don't like but I am keen on the more stock GTAs and IROCs
It's definitely a nice car but the paint is shot on the hood like mine.
:/ man...i kinda see that now. I always try to find deserving cars by going back through old threads. There wernt a ton of pictures I could find without spending a ridiculous amout of time going through every post. From the few I found I thought it looked pretty clean, but obvioulsy missed those spots on the hood. Who knows, maybe he got it painted since that picture was taken!!!
