FS: Genuine SLP Front Y Pipe for 1989 (and others) with 3" factory exhaust
I've decided since I have a twin-cat car now, and don't see using this part anytime soon, perhaps it would be enjoyed by another. It's been in dry storage for over 20 years.
Bought this new around 1993 and will tell you it was part of the recipe I used to get my 1989 5.7L GTA to run 13.1@109 (on normal 245 width street tires). The car was FAST, and this was part of why.
Only used this part a short while. No dents or deterioration can be found. Pics attached below.
Price is$400 - prefer local pick-up.
(Yes, I do know you can buy the Magnaflow part for less, but you'll get what you pay for, IMO)
Part is located outside the Capitol Beltway in VA. I am a reputable seller, and have been on this site for nearly two decades. References available.

I just sold one of these recently. Unless you are going to cut it into smaller pieces, it will take a BIG box to fit it (I know, I made one) and FedEx wanted $170. to ship it. Thank God Staples was running a special at the time and it cost less to ship.
And you are correct about this pipe being a large part to making your car fast.

No prob. One other thing to note, on my 1989 5.7L GTA, no rubbing or rattling. Kit fit. It worked. And car went really fast with this, heads/cam/Superram intake.
13.1@109, all day...

It is a nice piece. I got a never used one sitting in the garage. If you get anywhere close to your asking price I'll keep the magnaflow one on the car and put the SLP one in a safe deposit box, lol! Glws
