OEM radio mounting brackets.

I just bought an 88 iroc, found the original radio in the trunk but I don't have the original mounting brackets. Anyone know where I can find some?

Re: OEM radio mounting brackets.

Ok, I've confirmed the brackets that I have are the correct one but now I can't figure out how they attach to the radio. Does anyone have any pictures or even a diagram of how they go? I can;t find anything googling.

Re: OEM radio mounting brackets.

Not just the brackets, but you need the studs that attach to the radio chassis with a spring clip. Here, I'm switching them from one radio to another (for reference).

I have the radio mounting studs if you still need them.

Re: OEM radio mounting brackets.

I just bought some from a guy on ebay but it has been awhile and they haven't arrived yet so I might connect with you in a few days. Thanks.

Let me know. I’ve kept a collection of misc radio stuff over the past 30 years, lol.

Re: OEM radio mounting brackets.

I’m in the process of fabricating my own brackets this week. Here’s the prototype if anyone’s interested:
