hello i need for my 3.1 firebird with a 5 speed manual a transmission mount
cant find one on the internet the v8s use a different one
maybe someone can help me thanks
It would be worth your time to just change it to the standard mount and crossmember from a V8 car. The crossmember is easy enough to find in most pick a part yyards, eBay or the classifieds here on tgo

Agreed Xs 2. An after market version is also available.
Even if you could locate that particular mount, as I recall, it was crazy expensive.

thank you do you know why the v6 use a different one when the bolt holes of the trans are the same ?
is the v6 with a manual so rare?
thanks

This mount also appeared in v8 cars, no idea how or why it was chosen.
My v6 car had the standard mount, granted it was an automatic stock. I kept the mount when I converted to manual years back
The manual was uncommon in these cars period, most are automatics. The manual in a firebird seems to be more uncommon that in the Camaro from what I've seen too.
The Mount-N-of-Power was a solution for NVH. That's Noise Vibration and Harshness if you don't speak the acronym jive. The alternative was to hang a huge steel donkey D on the tail shaft of the transmission to try to eliminate some annoyance predicted by GMs engineers. HAL-9000 predicted you'd be unhappy unless they did something about it, so fancy transmission mount.
In reality, some 30 years later, the minuscule issue that the mount was designed to dampen, is probably less annoying than any number of other current rattles or vibes. Hence we can throw fancy engineering solutions like this into the History bin, and replace them with service replacements.
