I have a nice one that needs recovered, previous owner took the leather off. No damage to the steering wheel. I also have the horn button that is in good shape.
In the 20 years or so that this forum has been around, I haven't seen enough Z28/Iroc steering wheels with good leather, to even worry about. Find a core that's not bent, or rusty, and send it to Chuck Pelton to have the leather replaced.

Thank you but I’m looking for one that is a 7 or 8 out of 10 to match my low mile car. I realize these are a bit of a unicorn to find in that condition but I’m hopeful. All else fails and I will send the one I have to be re-leathered
