Re: 1991g92 slp pkg camaro
What is the difference between this car and the next car whos owner just buys the parts and the SLP sticker and punches out the slots on the sticker after installing the parts and then selling it?
And why would GM or SLP choose to run a Hypertech Memcal in the car? This doesnt make much sense. The sticker is punched out for the cold air induction package yet the engine is still using the OEM setup.

Who says it's a Hypertech memcal? Hypertech offered underdrive pulleys, lower temp fan switches, cap and rotor sets... I want to say they offered an AFPR too... Imagine all of the above would have come with a sticker back in the day.
Edit: Derp... Forgot one of the most obvious Hypertech pieces, one I even have in my stash. LOL

Also, people do make mistakes or the air induction knockout could have just pulled out when installed

I thought the slp memical chip for the computer was slp exclusive. Was it really just a hypertech chip?
Re: 1991g92 slp pkg camaro
Did Chevy even participate in the "official" program? Got the impression that the SLP package at time of sale was a Firebird exclusive? Admittedly my 91 Camaro documentation is very slim to my 91 Pontiac stuff, but I've never seen anything linking the Camaro to SLP beyond the parts counter availability.

I see, thanks for clearing that up. And tunedperformance the slp tune wasn't all that much better over a stock tune then? Well that's a bummer.

Re: 1991g92 slp pkg camaro
My issues (CEL) were resolved being able to find an exact year and package ECM w/factory chip over the Hypertech which was in the car when purchased.
The ECM was out of a 88 Pontiac 350 Formula that had 149K from Ohio, corrected the smog issues and runs far better than the original ECM.
Discontinued GM Part so tough to find OEM nowadays>>>
