I just got my car back in September 2017, and the paint isn't in the best of conditions. I am planning on repainting it this summer, I will re-do the gray that is on it currently, but i wanted to add stripes. I have never seen this though, and I made a quick Photoshop mock-up of it to see how it would look.
Again, this car isn't mine, I just made this in Photoshop to see if i like it or not. Opinions?
The car looks decent in the pic. But I agree - and this is just personal opinion - silver would look good.
But it ultimately comes down to what you like the best, go with your gut. You are the owner and have the say. Customize it to your plan. There is no wrong choice if it's yours.
On Camaro's I prefer the rally style stripes that the 60's Camaro had. I like on the thirdgens when they follow the contour of the hood, here is mine for reference. Stripes on the hood, decklid and spoiler only. I think they look far too gawdy when they go over every inch of the car.
Since your asking for opinions, $h!tcan those stupid stripes. Isn't it enough that you have a rare, one year only color? Why do you have to ruin it with effed up stripes?

As others have mentioned, there are some stripe patterns that look good on third gens. However, the front to back/bumper to bumper ones look terrible IMO.
If you want to see what a (terrible) repaint with stripes looks like, there are a few pictures of my car floating around here. I hate the way they look. But ultimately, it's your car - have fun with it!

I'm probably going to do black stripes with this pattern instead of the one i posted. Do you have pictures of the back of this car? im just wondering where all of the stripes go and end. also, I dont have T-Tops, mine has a solid top, so would the stripes follow on the roof as well? thanks Tibo, and sexy car btw
Imo I agree with Charlie, nice looking car and one of my favorite colors on these things why take away from it. I admit tibos looks good but to me it is the hood and the color combination, reminds me of the 1st gen pace cars with the houndstooth interior. Your car in that color looks slick as is.

The car is a convertible but even with a hardtop you only run the stripes on the hood and trunk lid. Keep em off the bumpers.
